Three years ago, in October, I heard God say it was time to let go. I was teaching 4th grade. I had been teaching since 1995. And while I loved my students and loved teaching so much, I knew God was asking me to serve in a new way. So I let go.
Three years ago, in October, a new journey began. I went from a year of lasts… To two years of healing, restoring, growing, learning, stretching, waiting, listening, trusting, believing, and surrendering.
And now… Today. Today, this audacious dream takes a huge leap. 🗝️ Every step of these past three years has led to this moment. And I have no doubt that every step held its own special purpose.The closed doors. The waiting. The uncertainty. The stretching. The unexpected provision. The people God placed along the way. No detail has been an accident.
And so, with incredibly full hearts, we are so excited to finally share our news:THE TEACHER SANCTUARY HAS A HOME!!! 🏡❤️A place for educators to breathe. A place to be reminded that they are more than what they accomplish. A place for restoration of mind, body, soul, and spirit. A place to gather, learn, laugh, worship, grow, and simply be. A place where teachers can come weary and leave renewed.Educators, we are here for you. We are here to lift you up. We are here to remind you that you don't have to carry it all alone. ❤️🩹❤️🙌

At The Teacher Sanctuary, everything we do is rooted in one simple truth: teachers were never meant to carry their calling alone.We believe in restoration. In shalom. In the quiet rebuilding of hearts that have spent so long pouring themselves out for others.
And now, we are honored to introduce a new member of our sanctuary family.This is Amara Rose.Her name carries the heart of our mission. Amara means beloved, a reminder that love is not earned through performance, productivity, or perfection. It is given freely. Steadily. Unconditionally. Rose represents beauty, tenderness, and the quiet strength that blooms even in difficult seasons. Together, her name speaks a truth we want every teacher to remember: You are beloved. And you are still becoming.
Amara Rose will be our emotional support golden retriever, but more than that, she is a living reminder of what it feels like to be met with gentleness. She will be present in our space as a calm companion... offering comfort without words, peace without pressure, and presence without expectation. Whether resting quietly beside a teacher during reflection, greeting someone at the door after a long day, or simply lying nearby as hearts begin to soften again, her presence is part of the sanctuary’s rhythm of restoration. She will not rush healing. She will not demand anything from you. She simply will remind you what love feels like when it stays.
Our hope
That when teachers meet Amara Rose, something in them exhales.That they remember: They are allowed to rest. They are safe to pause. They are worthy of gentleness. And they are deeply loved. Because here at The Teacher Sanctuary, we are learning together how to lead with love again, and sometimes love looks like a quiet golden retriever reminding you that you are not alone.
